Look what I just did!

Check out my nails!

What do you think? Polkadots rule and never go out of style :) This took me about 45 minutes and that included having to redo a nail and drying.

If you would like to do this follow the easy steps below :)

You will need:

  • Nail polish
  • Nail polish remover (you might just need it)
  • Tooth picks
  • Nail polish
  • Scissors
  • Nail file
  • Flat surface and good lighting

1. Clean nails, top and underneath too

2. File away any sharp pieces and shape as desired

3. Apply a base coast of your choice - Mine was clear

4. Choose what colour/s you would like

5. Put toothpick in nail polish pot until the tip is nicely covered

6. Now have fun putting on your polkadots! :) Just put the toothpick to your nail gently or add pressure and more nail polish for bigger dots.

NOT necessary but if desired add a top coat of clear polish.

And remember be CREATIVE AND HAVE FUN :)

Tea & Sweets

I went to a Tea shop and Old fashioned ladies meeting place recently and this is what I had.

A pot of tea

A selection of sweets

I absolutely loved it! The tea was a african white tea and was just lovely with a a bit of milk and the sweets just melted in your mouth.

Will I go back for more? Definitely!

My mum actually made the belt to go with it. Am I lucky or what?

My first time doing Yoga

I did Yoga for the very first time last night.

I have always started a video and then 2 minutes in I would quit or I'd be falling over myself trying to get the poses right.

So last night I stumbled across a video called 'Basic Yoga Workout for Dummies' and thought "OK I'm going to actually complete this video, I can do it!"

1 hour later I had completed and actually enjoyed it. I was and still am quite proud of myself :) and I didn't fall over once lol

If you're as reluctant as I was then watch it and see if you can do it too. I felt great and nicely stretched afterwards so it was well worth it.

Kitten D'Amour

Have you ever heard of Kitten D'Amour? Click on the name and it'll take you there :)

Its a shop that makes amazing vintage inspired clothing. Everything is unique as there is only a set amount of each item made. They have collections, each different and very beautiful. Click here to view them and perhaps find something you've always wanted. They cater to all sizes from the petite to curvaceous there is something for everybody.

I first walked into the shop as a curvaceous girl and was afraid I was going to get shunned due to my size as it has happened to me before at other stores. However I was welcomed with open arms and smiles from everybody. It made me feel comfortable and encouraged me to actually look at the clothing and not glance over my shoulder and quickly leave because the sales ladies were eyeing me. It doesn't matter to the girls what size you are, you are all treated equally. Also something to note is that if you have big feet (like me) don't worry they go all the way up to a size 12 :)

The stores themselves are unique. The decor, atmosphere and display of the merchandise is amazing and lovely. The serving ladies even wear the the clothing and are fully made up. Clothing, shoes, makeup and hair. They look really beautiful.

I got this dress last month from my parents for my birthday. I just have to wait till mid May now. I can't WAIT to wear it!!

So what are you waiting for? Go check it out!

Movie Recommendation - The Host

Hi All,

I have a movie recommendation for you :) Most of you have probably already seen it but for those of you who haven't......

Movie: The Host
Actors: Saoirse Ronan (Melanie Stryder/Wanderer), Max Irons (Jared Howe), Jake Abel (Ian O'Shea) and Diane Kruger (The Seeker)
Rating: *****

I finally saw The Host and I loved it!

I think they chose the perfect actors for all the characters. They just portrayed them so well.
The setting of the movie was great, just like how I imagined it when reading the book. I loved how they made the fields of wheat etc.

The movie really stuck to the book this time. Only a few things missing but it wasn't disappointing because it would have dragged it out far to long. I'm not going to say what was missing because I don't want to be a spoil sport and I hate reading spoilers at times myself and really they weren't any major points just very minor ones.

Now the way that the souls are portrayed is just beautiful. It really looks pure, innocent and fragile. I thought that they would be made to look a bit like a centipede how ever this is what they ended up as

See what I mean by Beautiful?

My dad and brother were really not sure about this as they really don't like twilight and were afraid it would be another one. However at the end of the movie they both agreed that it was a great movie with a different outlook on what they likened to body snatchers. It was nice to see them kind and peaceful as opposed to violent and nasty.

My dad said he didn't see what was so wrong with the world when the souls had taken over. It was a peaceful place to live, they didn't kill each other, you could walk on the streets safely without fear of being attacked, there is no such thing as greed and the trust that they have in each other is amazing. I personally think he made a great point.

It was everything I hoped it would be and more. I definitely recommend watching  this.
